Therapy is an investment—of time, energy, and resources. I honor the fact that therapy may not be equally affordable for all. I strive to make care both sustainable and accessible by using a pricing structure informed by purchasing power parity (PPP) and global income inequalities. Session fees are based on your current country/location of residence/booking.
How I Determine My Fees
Therapy is not limited to the hour we spend together. Each session represents many layers of work that surround it — the hours of preparation before we meet, the reflection and documentation after we close, and the ongoing professional care that sustains this process.
My fees are set in recognition of the depth, experience, and intensity involved in this work. Your payment is not for a single hour of conversation but for the entire arc of professional, emotional, and ethical work that holds that hour with integrity. They reflect:
- Years of clinical experience and training across trauma-informed, narrative, and queer-affirmative frameworks and many more.
- Extensive post-session work — reviewing notes, reflecting on therapeutic themes, preparing the next steps.
- Professional supervision and personal therapy, which ensure ethical and reflective practice.
- Secure infrastructure — encrypted, HIPAA-compliant systems for documentation and confidentiality.
- Continuous learning — ongoing certifications, courses, and case consultations that inform my care.

Why are international fees higher?
This means that the session fee you are charged is determined not by convenience or availability, but by your current country of residence.
This is not about charging more but charging proportionately. I follow PPP-based adjustments to ensure fairness—not just for me but for clients in India accessing lower-cost slots.
Standard of living, currency value, and healthcare accessibility all influence how pricing is structured. This also sustains my ability to provide low-cost and sliding-scale slots for those in need.
To honour both the sustainability of my practice and the economic diversity of those I work with, I follow a location-based pricing policy guided by Purchasing Power Parity (PPP).
Why Location-Based Fees?
Different countries have different costs of living.
A fee that is affordable in one country may be inaccessible in another. By adjusting for regional economic standards, I can continue offering care that is responsive and ethical.
Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) helps us address global income disparities.
It reflects not just exchange rates, but how far your money goes in your country. Clients in India and clients in GCC, Europe, or North America are therefore charged differently—not because of preference, but because of equity.
This model is commonly used by global mental health practitioners to ensure that therapy remains both accessible and financially sustainable across geographies.
Example
If two clients are in therapy together and reside in different countries, each person is charged according to their own location.
For instance, a client living in India pays a different rate than someone based in the Middle East or Europe, even if they are attending the same session. This is not about fairness of time, but about fairness of economic context. If your location changes during the course of therapy, your applicable fee may also be adjusted accordingly, with transparent communication.

Each client’s rate is determined independently, even in shared or couple sessions, based on their location.
Budgeting for Therapy
Therapy works best when it feels sustainable — both emotionally and financially. Because therapy is a predictable and ongoing investment, it helps to plan for it as part of your monthly budget rather than as an occasional or uncertain expense. Building therapy into your financial plan allows you to stay consistent, reduce stress about payments, and give yourself the space to engage meaningfully with the process.

Instead of thinking, “Can I afford ₹2500 today?” ask, “Can I commit ₹5000 per month?” (based on a standard rate of two sessions per month).
This reframes therapy as a manageable part of your monthly financial plan rather than a single expense.
Determine Your Sustainable Cadence
While weekly sessions can be helpful for intensive or early-stage work, many clients find that two sessions per month (bi-weekly) provide a rhythm that is both effective and financially balanced.
We can always adjust the frequency depending on your goals, needs, and budget.
Integrate Therapy into Your Budget as a Fixed Cost
Treat your estimated monthly therapy cost — for example, the amount for two sessions — as a fixed part of your monthly expenses, similar to rent, groceries, or phone bills.
