Legal Scope of Practice and Limitations
As a Counselling Psychologist practicing in India, I operate within the ethical and legal boundaries defined for this role. My services are grounded in care, integrity, and full transparency about what I can and cannot offer.

Medical, diagnostic, or legal assessments:
- Psychiatric diagnoses or DSM/ICD-based assessments
- Psychological testing for certification or diagnosis
- Medico-legal documentation, including:
- Fitness-to-work or return-to-duty letters
- Mental illness certificates for court or legal proceedings

Referrals and Accountability
I hold a strong commitment to ethical care and professional accountability.
If at any point I assess that your presenting concerns fall outside my competence or the mode of therapy we are using, I will discuss this with you and provide referrals or coordinate with other professionals.
- Clearly communicate those limitations with compassion and respect
- Refer you to trusted RCI-registered Clinical Psychologists, Psychiatrists, or other relevant professionals
- Collaborate—with your consent—to ensure continuity and quality of care through appropriate referrals
